How to set up your Assignment for myPortfolio

myPortfolio submissions do NOT go through Turnitin

You will need to set-up an assignment tool in your myCourse unit to accept myPortfolio submissions from Mahara. 


So where do you start?

1. Go to your course unit page where you want to create the assignment and click 'Turn editing on' in the top right of the page.

2. Find your Topic section you wish to set the assignment in and press 'Add an activity or resource' which will be at the bottom right of the Topic.

3. Select the 'Assignment' tool which will be near the top and press 'Add' 

4. Give your assignment a Name and a Description 

5. There is a settings page you will see now and if you click the triangle to reveal the settings or 'Expand All' this will allow you to set your submission dates and late submission dates. 

6. In the submission types you need to tick the myPortfolio option and make sure that 'Lock submitted pages' is set to YES. The other settings can be left at default unless you want to alter them. 

7. In the feedback settings you need to tick 'Feedback commnents' AND tick 'myPortfolio feedback' 

8. Grade Settings need to be set to 2015 Solent Grademarking Scale'  and Use marking workflow needs to be set to 'Yes'
